Gail Russell & Maya
Arroyo Hondo, New Mexicao

I am originally from Connecticut and I have lived in my home, Mountain Light, overlooking the Arroyo Hondo Valley in Northern New Mexico for over 30 years.  I live with Maya the green wing macaw, Lily the courageous dog, and Lincoln, the cat therapist. 

My photographs of Botanic Studies, Native American Life, Ancient Temples, and Spiritually Inspired images have won awards, been seen in galleries and museums, featured on the pages of magazines, hung in national and regional shows, and graced the walls in the homes of collectors for many years.  I am a member of the Las Comadres Gallery, a women’s cooperative in Taos, New Mexico.  I was a print maker before I was a photographer, and I still love to process and print my own images in the studio at Mountain Light.
